OTN: I'm not sure if this is true knitty lingo, but OTN sounds good (meaning On the Needles).

I am in the process of making two lace shawls: one for my mother and one for my mother-in-law. Since this is my first lace project, ever, I decided to use the same pattern, but in different colors. Here are the results of my swatch, in the color for my mother-in-law:

This is the pattern with the black for my mother's shawl. The pattern: Lotus Blossom from Fiddlesticks, the yarn (both kinds): Blackberry Ridge Fingering Weight 100% Wool.

And, I'm about 20% of the way done with the true knitting, but I don't have any pictures. Soon, they will come!

Oh, and I'm using KnitPicks Options needles to knit, and they are so lovely! Although lately, the cord has been having a little too much memory.

Yeah...
There is just no way in the world I'm going to be able to avoid this website, despite any gift reveals that might lie herein. The yarn you're using is really pretty! And I like OTN. Maybe you can make it fly.

Hey, I wonder how long it will take before you get some random, non-friends-and-family traffic on this website? Someone will google "knitting blog" and voraciously check each link until they find yours?

It's weird that your needle cord has been getting MORE memory now after you've been using them. What are you going to do?

Jessie, I think I can avoid discussing your gift, if you'd like. While it will be the first time I have done a certain technique, I think I can avoid it. If I have questions, I'll ask my LYS (look at me! I have knitting lingo!) ;o)
